WHOA!

How great are these little illustrations by Sasha Muravey?!.

Zara Picken

Great little retro styled illustrations by England based Zara Picken. I love the textures.

Denise Nestor

There’s something creepy/dreamy/AMAZING about these layered illustrations by Dublin-based artist/illustrator Denise Nestor. She also has a nice series of fashion-inspired pencil drawings in her Flickr-folio.

Illustration Wonderland

I can’t get enough of Apak’s super cute and colourful illustration style. They are a husband and wife collaborative art group who live in a little cottage on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. How perfect!

Apak’s illustrations remind me of these amazing videos, I almost want to call them short films. Beautiful illustration style by Jason and Aya Brown of Overture. The music is by Hauschka.

Josh Keyes

Josh Keyes work is always constrained, slightly sad and never short of amazing. Bummer I won’t be in NY anytime soon. He’s showing some new work at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Manhattan until the 13th. You can see more of his work here.

Charley Harper

Charley Harper was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations. After leading a long life he passed away in 2007. My first want of 2010: The beautiful hardcover “Charley Harper an Illustrated Life”.

Shop Love

Huset, meaning “the house” in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian is a shop that specializes in modern Scandinavian design. The store sells a little bit of everything. I was drawn to the tableware! Its absolutely gorgeous sporting patterns from contemporary to retro.
